Failure is part of a huge process to get you from starting point to where you are trying to go. Quitting is the end. If you feel like you are failing it means that you are trying new things outside what you were capable of before, which is good. Failure stretches your soul and makes you into a better person. It allows you to look back and see how you may have handled things differently or what you would have done the same. Reasons for failure vary greatly, sometimes it’s a lack of preparation, leading to getting overwhelmed when the event occurs, or it could be changes in the structure of the event, leading to overexcitement. When a person knows that these two events could occur, they are better set to train for them, therefore enabling themselves to succeed through mental preparation.
Mental preparation is the first step to success in any event, believe it and you can achieve it” really is true. Life is a huge mind game, and when you have personal belief you have overcome half the mind game before the battle begins. If you get beat in the first round, you need to keep fighting to rebuild you strength and remind yourself that you know your stuff and that you can do what you set out to do. Even if no one else believes in you, you will believe in yourself and in the end who else really matters. But if you look around your corner, I’m willing to bet you’ll be surprised at how many people are really there, cheering you on to success giving you pointers and tips to get there.
And on that note, (and since I’m in my 20s): “The path to whatever your notion of success is will likely not be linear. Don’t take continuous personal growth for granted.
